Stopped here to see falls park and to eat at a diner close by.. The diner had a 25 minute wait.. So we walked down the street and found this place.. They were serving brunch till 4:00.. We were greeted right away and seated.. It is very relaxing and has an old world feel to it.. Classic rock was being played and it was awesome after being in the car.. Mojito was perfect.. Coffee had to be made and it took longer than the 4 minutes she said it would take.. My side salad was fresh and the French dressing was delicious.. We had a burger and the 241 breakfast.. I guess they gave me the wrong burger, so she brought the right one out too.. All the food was super good.. My friend felt like we were waiting awhile for our drinks and then too long for the food.. Maybe, but I was happy to be out of the car and relaxed in a very cool bar with comfortable furniture.. If we are ever in town again and hungry, we would stop here again for sure....

Service was very good. House Cabernet was $9 a glass; pretty high for average wine. EXCELLENT old fashioned! Steak salad was ok but cajun dressing is incredibly spicy and too thick to be called dressing; asked for balsamic vinagrette and straight balsamic vinegar was brought out and then we were charged extra for it. The crab stuffed mushroom good but seemed to be lacking crab; we did not find anything that looked like crab in it. Trifecta flatbread I had was good. Crawford's seems to be declining.

I got the salmon salad. Cooked just right. Sweet dressing on spinach. Was nice with seasonal fruit. Sat at the bar and the bartender was very good. Nice variety of tap beers. The food seems high priced but the quality was good.

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for appetizers. Place was not very busy. Service was inattentive and slow. Only reason for two stars is food was great. But service ruined overall experience.

At first I was hesitant on having dinner here due to the not so good reviews. Decided to give it a shot anyway and I'm very happy I did. Whatever happened in 2013 or 2012 that led to those bad reviews I think this restaurant learned from there mistakes and upped there game. I had the rib eye with mushroom rissoto and it was fantastic! Give this place a shot!

If I could give them one and a half stars, I would. Our server, Kelsey, and the atmosphere was the only redeeming factor of our visit. My husband and I brought two of my work clients here for dinner. The service was unbearably slow- over 2 hours in total. Food was a sh*tshow to say the very least. One client had the prime rib, and he said it was good and was done to his taste. I had the two filets two ways. One was done medium, as requested, however the other was one step away from mooing and grazing. My husband and the other client ordered the ribeye and risotto. Both of their ribeyes smelled completely rancid and tasted like hot garbage smells! After sending it back, they did take it off our check. I really have to wonder what the skill level of the chef is if they can't even identify rancid meat. I will never go back to Crawfords ever again.

We took my husband's parents for Father's day dinner. The atmosphere was absolutely wonderful, and the live music was perfect (it was refreshing that the artist was playing at a level that allowed for conversation). The calamari (perfect), bacon crusted chicken, alfredo flatbread, steak salad, ribeye, and children's pasta with marinara were the best we've had in Sioux Falls. However our server spent a lot of the time chatting at the bar avoiding eye contact. The children's pasta alfredo was completely inedible and by the time we were able to get our server's attention, everyone had already finished eating (thankfully grandma was willing to share her flatbread or we would have had to pick up a cheeseburger on the way home). The mushroom risotto was more crunchy than al dente, as it was a refire requested by my husband because his ribeye came out on top of it (no one wants bloody rice) I'll chalk that up to the chef being too speedy.

We live in Howard and enjoy.a weekend in Sioux falls A special beginning to our get away is dinner at Crawford Great wine list. And the bar tender knows how to make a great dry martini The wallie and flat Bread starters are great The price is right

Worst place in Sioux Falls service was good took an hour and forty five min to get food and it was sub par at best don't waist your time

I came here to have lunch with my husband and his seven coworkers. Our server was very nice. He gave us all waters right away. We all put our order in at once, however it took them 40 minutes to bring our food out which caused people at my table to be late going back to work. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and it was good but the chicken was a little dry. A lot of people at the table ordered the mushroom flatbread pizza. They came out under done and doughy in the middle. They just ate around the edges and left the rest. I liked the decor of the restaurant and we had decent service but the food could be better.

Ok. It pains me to write this... Went back to crawfords tonight for my traditional going away dinner with my son. Hostess was terribly rude to my family. Made us feel like we were an inconvenience. We walked in at the peak of dinner, but cheerfully let her know we didn't mind waiting. Told her we would get our own drinks and would love to sit and enjoy the live music. Still, she did her best to shoo us off: pouty attitude and doing her best to ignore us. When she finally seated us she let me know that they might be cleaning up around us, but that we shouldn't feel rushed. Really??? Our waiter was nice... Very helpful and accommodating. Bartender even prepared one of my favorite drinks to perfection. My family loved the decor and was impressed with the quality of the food. Live music was a special treat. Too bad they allow somebody with such a poor attitude (maybe just people skills?) to play gatekeeper. I'll be back because I'm hoping this was an isolated incident.

The reviews seem to be mixed but I did not have a good experience here food-wise. I ordered the Gouda mushroom pizza and it was burnt. The crust also didn't seem homemade to me. My co-worker's chicken was also burnt. The only person in my party who liked their food was my co-worker who ordered the mussels (although I must add there were at least 5 duds in the mix). My co-worker ordered a whisky and they charged him $6 for the drink and $2 for the rocks. $2 for the rocks!?!?! What the heck is that? Never in my life... The service was alright and atmosphere was pretty cool/trendy. The food is overpriced for the quality you're getting. Maybe if they hire a new chef and work on improving the menu a bit it would be worth coming back. Otherwise I would not eat here again.

I've been here a few times after work with my coworkers and the results were the same: Disappointing. The first time we went, the place was empty and the service was unbearably slow. We weren't in any kind of rush, but you think it would be a little faster if we were the only ones there. One waitress didn't seem to care we were there and continued to chat with the bartender. Once we finally placed our drink orders, we were surprised to find our wine glasses were dirty. One coworker of fine had lipstick marks on his glass! At that point we decided to give up and go somewhere else for dinner. The second visit was much of the same: slow service and dirty wine glasses. We did stay to eat and were pleasantly surprise how good the appetizers were. Might be worth coming back to if the service improved.

PEOPLE! Disregard these lame reviews. This is an amazing restaurant and bar. The host was so attentive, and the food was perfect. Be classy- get the Moscow Mule and the charcuterie plate. The apple whiskey is divine and the Manhattans are perfect. We were visiting from LA and couldn't believe this place wasn't packed!

Our reservation was at 530 so not too busy at first. The service was great. Our server was wonderful at answering questions about the menu and even had the bartender make a fun drink for our son. The walleye and risotto was the best I've ever had. Our son had a pizza and loved it. My husband had ribeye with mushroom risotto and liked it. Only compliant was he said it was a little under seasoned. We would definitely go back. The decor was beautiful!!

Last night was our second time at Crawford's. Took us over 10 minutes to get drinks, over 30 minutes to get our appetizer, and over an hour to get our food. The restaurant was slow and I believe if our waiter Joe had time to text he should have had time to get us our food in a timely manner. Our first time we ate there was way better we had a female server and we received everything in good time on a busy Saturday night. Last night was very disappointing! I hate when I really like a place and call it my favorite in Sioux Falls then get service like last night.

Food was good. I had the apricot basil pork chop and it was flavorful and moist. Ambiance was good and service was excellent.

After a long day of driving in August of 2012, we came to Crawford's upon recommendation by our host at the B&B at which we were staying. What a wonderful meal! The ambiance is casual, but the food is top-notch. Interesting decor inside, as well!

I have been here twice. Once for lunch and once for dinner. The food is not mind blowing but is satisfactory. Not many options for vegetarians which is disappointing. I will be back when visiting SD again. Beautiful restaurant!!

We came in at 4:15pm on a Sunday for dinner. We were seated and waited 10 min for our waitress who then informed us that we could only order starters and flatbreads which had not been said when we came in. When we asked if we could to salads she went to ask. 8 minutes later she came back to the table but we again had to ask if we could order salads. Her response was "Oh, yes." When I then asked if we could possibly order steaks as that was what we came she went and asked and the kitchen said yes but only for our table. We finally ordered our drinks at 4:30pm. As of 4:45 we still don't have our drinks but were asked for our order. There is maybe 6 tables in the restaurant plus some tables on the patio but only 2 servers and one bartender? We came in for a quick dinner on Friday night about 5pm and sat at the bar and told the bartender we were in a hurry and needed to be out before 6pm. We both ordered salads and it took almost a half an hour to get them. We had to ask for them and then eat quickly to get out by 6pm. Now back to our Sunday night experience...the waitress has now informed us that they are out of the bottle of wine we ordered. 20 minutes after we ordered it! It then took 10 minutes for that bottle to arrive. During that time the waitress and bartender had time to socialize and catch up. When the bottle was delivered some one else at our table asked for another glass of wine. 15 minutes later he had to ask again because she had forgotten. Surprisingly when we decided to do another bottle it only took 3 minutes for it to arrive! Another surprise was that our food actually only took 25 minutes granted my Cowboy Ribeye was between medium and well done when I had ordered medium rare. The food for the most part was really good except the Ceasar salad that was a lot of wilted romaine lettuce. The desserts were delicious!! Ultimately it was a good meal but it started really rough! Ultimately it took is 2.5 hours for a meal that should have only taken us an hour and 45 minutes. The waitress was not the best and the hostess really was the start of the problem by not communicating from the beginning that they were a change over of wait staff and certain things were not available at 4:15pm. To add to the experience, our waitress also mischarged our credit card!! Ugh!!!

Although the place is nice, drinks are responsible, the service is horrid. The "manager" , I believe that is his capacity, was extremely rude and lacking any sort or customer service. He seemed content to sit up front with hipster glasses and a smug attitude and basically judge all who entered and sat them accordingly. He also works at the district and has a similar presence.

I will not return. Great atmosphere, but only OK food and terrible service. The wait was double what we were told - not worth waiting an hour here. The drinks and food took ages, and the order was wrong. The food was undercooked. The bone-in rib-eye steak was dry and low quality. The staff is overwhelmed and could use some help. Even simple things like place settings were missing and when requesting things like a steak knife took 5 minutes to bring out. The place seems to have no management at all.

Went here for a business dinner and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. I always peruse the yelp reviews before dining almost anywhere, so I wasn't expecting much but was very happily surprised. The place is neat. Old-time downtown charm is all over this establishment. Cool high ceilings, interesting high-back and fur upholstered chairs, and an interesting array of light fixtures all give plenty of charm. I can't complain about the service, either. Nice waiter, good hostess, and very little wait. The food I and the rest of my table ordered was also pretty good. We chose the calamari for a starter and it was pretty good. Not the best, but we are in South Dakota so I'll let it slide. The highlight of my meal was the house soup--a delicious, creamy, tomato, lobster bisque. It was really quite excellent. I ordered the blackberry short ribs. The portion was gigantic, basically half a steer comes out on a plate. The entree didn't disappoint; the meat was tender, moist, and flavorful. The prosciutto-wrapped halibut that a table-mate had was also very good. Overall, I recommend giving this place a try even if the yelp reviews might scare you away.

Was back at Crawford's again recently. Last time I was here I tried some of their more ambitious menu items. Not to be fooled again I ordered a very simple pasta with meatballs. When my plate was placed in front of my I thought I had chosen wisely. But no. The pasta included two large uncooked lumps of pasta along with some regular noodles. The meatballs looked good, until one of them rolled over as I cut it. The bottom of all 6 meatballs were burnt black. Then the kitchen had the nerve to serve them, burnt side down! And charge $25 for it! Do they think customers won't notice if they hide uncooked pasta and burnt meatballs? The fact that they would do something like that tells you that the best thing to do is not eat here.

Opulent Wild West...the decor is just amazing. Food...amazing. Drinks...amazing. My go-to stop in Sioux Falls.

Visiting from Los Angeles over the holidays. Tried two new whiskeys. Moderately priced. Had a fantastic appetizer platter. Probably one of the BEST I've had in a long time, and even discovered a new pepper I want to try cooking with. All-in-all, for five (premium drinks) and an awesome appetizer, my wife and I ended up spending around $50. My Mother brought home some of her "left overs" from another visit, and even after re-heating hers in the microwave, it was hands-down a fantastic Chicken Pot Pie. Great restaurant. I'm assuming maybe 8-9 months ago there may have been a "hiccup" in their service (judging from the other reviews), however the host and server were both incredibly attentive. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.

This is the third time I have been to Sioux Falls on business and been to Crawfords. I'm sitting at a table feeling like I'm watching an episodeof Friends. This resturant is amazing I'm listening to some great piano jazz thinking Rachel is going to walk in at any moment. The food is great. Service has been perfect. I have not had a better dinner in Sioux Falls.

The atmosphere is really neat with the exposed brick and a beautifully decorated interior. We were there with a work party and everyone had delicious food. The specialty drinks are a little spendy but they don't lack alcohol either. Some dishes that we tried were the apricot pork shanks, crab cakes, jalepeno steak, steak bites, meatloaf, and hazelnut crusted talipia. All were done well and everyone was happy with their choice. Looking forward to the next outing! The only small drawback would be the higher prices of the drinks and menu items but you do have choices to keep your ticket lower.

Great food, great atmosphere. I would return if I'm ever back in SiOux Falls.
